One-part executive, one-part serial entrepreneur, Renee’s passion lies in building businesses and transforming industries. A natural innovator, she launched her first tech business when she was 27, and followed this up with stints at prominent startups across the world, including, wotif, Monster and RedBalloon.

In 2013, Renee launched Booking Boss, an award-winning ticketing and Booking Management platform dedicated to attractions, tours and entertainment industries. It was acquired by Helix Leisure in 2017, and Renee was subsequently appointed CEO to both Booking Boss and sister-company Embed, an integrated cloud-based business solution platform made to enable business owners in the family entertainment space to achieve greater operational efficiency while reducing costs and increasing profitability. Embed has offices across the globe in the United States, EMEA and Asia, and more than 1,000 customers and over 3,000 installations in 56 countries.

Since her appointment as CEO, Renee relocated to Singapore, where she continues to push for female representation in tech, an industry notorious for gender inequality at all levels of an organization, but woeful at the Chief Executive level. As of 2022, she is proud that 33% of our executive leadership team is female; a model other companies, large and small, aspire to achieve.

Renee has also spearheaded a number of game-changing innovations at Embed, including the award-winning Mobile Wallet; partnering with Apple, Google and Amazon. She draws inspiration from emerging technology in hyper-competitive industries, and constantly keeps a finger on the pulse of emerging consumer trends and consumer behaviour.

When COVID-19 hit, family entertainment centres (FEC) were left reeling from the significant impact it left on their businesses. Knowing that she needed to support the industry, Renee led the Embed team to work in 6-week cycles of innovation, demonstrating
